Crawling

Friday, February 6, 2009

I'm excited for Ellie to grow and learn.  I definitely enjoy every moment with her, but I'm always excited for her to learn new things and progress to the next step.  Rolling over, sitting, crawling, standing, etc.  But for some reason when I say to people I'm excited for her to crawl they always say "you won't be once she starts crawling."

Well, she's been crawling now for a while, and I LOVE IT!
The way I see it, if she's awake I'm not going to get anything done anyways, so it's more fun to chase her around the house and watch her eat or destroy everything in her path (including my face) then to just sit there for 3 1/2 hours until she goes back down for a nap.  Plus, we worked hard to be able to crawl.  I would exercise with Ellie almost everyday to help her build the strength she needed to be able to crawl.

Now it's on to walking.  She stands fine while holding onto things, and today I let go of her and she actually balanced herself for like 4 seconds.  It was a proud moment.
